Fear

Wandering downtown if I happened upon these people I'd know I was in the wrong area.
I also might wonder how they stay warm during most seasons in Seattle.
Chances are I'd wonder how to get away.

I'm sorry what?

I remember when TLC showed science shows, medical shows (usually involving surgery), and The Secret Life of Machines.
What happened?

Booty Shots

Avengers Booty Ass-emble by *kevinbolk on deviantART

Yes there is discrepancy between how women are posed in comics and how men are.
Posing men just brings this up.
I saw something a bit ago where a fantasy author posed like the heroines on the cover.
He was not as impressive as the near impossible poses.
Now I understand why it's done but can we get back to the bigger problem about female superheros: high heels.
Why are you fighting crime in hooker boots?

Way Too Late Music Video Fix

Good Burger is not a good film
I like it but it is the kind of thing I'd watch after being at Bolsa Chica and then Hoff's Hut until the sun rose but before I'd break out the heat gun and strip some paint.
It filled an odd insomniac video.
In fact Things 90s kids realize said it far better than I could.

Also remember when Less than Jake was a band?
Maybe not one that mattered but one that got radio play.

Pickle Surprise

My friend Wombat Fury
had a birthday recently.
This was what I sent him as a happy (belated) birthday.

Can Not Be Unseen

I'm a fan of Beavis and Butthead but after seeing this I can not image knowing them in real life.
They were made by Kevin Kirkpatrick and will haunt you dreams forever!

One Size Fits All?

WTF?

Saw this as part of an Oddee list.
What gets me is the fact it's One size fits all.
I guess if you start slow and such but maybe work up to this.

According to this flickr, which I assume is the origin, it is from Hollywood and that doesn't totally surprise me.
A bit but not much.
Do wonder if it was serious.

Ornament

Nothing says Christmas like Riker threatening to use his phaser on you while taking a shit in your tree.
Changes the meaning of the Christmas Pickle.
Pant it brown and you can guess where it came from...

Bum Wine

Talking to Lauren today she said was a wino.
I told her a wino is a person that drinks bum wine in the park at 11am.
Then I directed her to Bumwine for further proof.

I suck at making tea.
After attempting to make some I was told to try more bags. Bagging. Baggns... Bilbo!

I responded with this gem.

Why, hello.

I just like the look on Shakespeare's face here.
That's what I feel Shakespeare is saying here.

What could have been

Cracked had an article about insane early designs.
Besides Walt Disney's idea for a future community for all of us with a theme park at the center, which I swear was a Sim City of mine, bizarre Golden Gate Bridge, and a show of what the 19th century thought of nature with Rushmore.

Then there was what could have been with the Space Needle.
After seriously considering the balloon shape again, it was decided having a compromise shape would be best, and that they should nix the idea for cable cars to travel up to it in on account of that idea being expensive, insane and probably physically impossible. They went with the idea of mixing the narrow stem support of the balloon idea with the saucer-shaped top submitted by a somewhat more conventional architect, John Graham. It was chosen, just after the foundation was poured, as the final design:

The Space Needle, if it hadn't been for a competing architect trying to get a compromise idea, could have nearly become the giant balloon looming like the eye of Sauron over Seattle.

I can see the Space Needle from my window.
As I typed that I turned my head and looked at it.
Or catch it looking like it's on fire at New Years.

T Shirt

This t shirt says, "The music I listen to isn't very good."
It's probably worn by somebody, bit of a nerd, going through a gothic phase.
Or rather having some objects that are covered in skeletons or bones, maybe a bit of black about but not really true gothic.
Just semi goth.
Possibly they also own a shirt that says, "If you're a Goth where were you when Rome was sacked?"

In case you need this shirt.

Welcome to the Future

There's an episode of Star Trek TNG where Scotty returns and is offered a synthahol drink which he pooh poohs then Data offers him a drink that is... green. Then he gets hammered, demands the computer show him the 1960s Enterprise and him and Picard share a drink.
Good times Mr. Scott.
Welcome to the future predicted by Roddenberry. All the flavor of whiskey but now of the fun.
This is like a faux Mullet. Business in the front annnnnd Business in the back.

This article brings up a very good point:
And as much as I love whiskey, it’s a rare breed that wants to drink an entire 355ml can in one sitting. That’s half a fifth, or around eight shots, in case you’re curious. Also, their marketing slogan is “Don’t drink and drive, unless it’s ArKay.” Seriously.
I suppose putting "Once you pop; you can't stop" might have been a bit much.

5 Insane Ways Fear of Masturbation Changed the World

That's one interesting merit badge... how do you earn it?

Cracked.com did this list today. Rather good.
I remember being a child and watching The Road to Wellville on show time and not really getting it but seeing it later and going, 'Dammit Victorian's you are crazy!' Few months ago a theatre did In the Other Room: The Vibrator Play and had a lobby display of antique vibrators and it was quite a sight.
Older patrons looking at the vibrators and I wonder if some had seen those around the house.
Shared this with a friend and she said, 'Masturbation is tits' but I remember Doc Hammer and Jackson Publick saying it was hard to make jokes about masturbation because their audience hadn't gotten to the point where it's funny.

Before Cirque

Now I doubt the Ross Sisters had the same sort of success but damn that's an interesting act.
Also wager it was risque at the time.
