Apparently there was a girl watcher club at my college in the 60s, I know this because there was a plaque in memory of some guy.
I wonder if he listened to this album.

Black Velvet

Perhaps it's a trap and perhaps it's not.
It doesn't really matter as I need more black velvet paintings but 100 dollars does seem a bit high.

Although if I were to see this at the Santa Fe Springs Swap Meet I'd pick it up.
On ebay it just doesn't seem right.

A drunk Denver woman did't really like modern art.
While a shame she caused $10,000 dollars of damage to the painting you have to be glad she was at least passionate about something.
And maybe she preferred representational paintings but that's no reason to take it off on an abstract painting.

A 36-year-old Denver woman, apparently drunk, leaned against an iconic Clyfford Still painting worth more than $30 million last week, punched it, slid down it and urinated on herself, according to a criminal case against Carmen Lucette Tisch.

"It doesn't appear she urinated on the painting or that the urine damaged it, so she's not being charged with that," said Lynn Kimbrough, a spokeswoman for the Denver District Attorney's Office, said Wednesday.

On the plus side the canvas wasn't pierced and can be repaired.
