I've found a lot of random things online. This is a record of the things I've sent to people. Or posted.

Daria
Showed this to my friend Meganbob and she asked which I fancied Jane or Daria.
Told her I liked both but figured I'd date Jane but should have dated Daria.
Purely theoretical, of course, I don't stay up nights pondering this.
...Unless there's a Daria marathon on.
More of this amazing cosplay
Also with Bonus Trent.

Firewall
Memories of watching ReBoot early saturday mornings.
Then it ended, disappeared, no more.
1999 my first legitimate voyages into the internet I found a site called 'A Minor Glitch', long since gone, but she was a super fan and from her I learned about season 3.
Rumors of Cartoon Network showing it.
Early 2000 taking over the tv in Corbett's pool room (no one used it and it was a small comfortable room) watching with awe as the series moved on.
Great stuff.

Men in Pin Up Poses
I don't recall when I first discovered Vargas.
Chances are it was at some library in the art section or Al found it at Waldenbook in the Lakewood Mall and had to share.
Doesn't matter I knew that pin ups were a facade.
Looking at men in the poses makes them seem even more so.
Still so and plenty more on this side.

Way Too Late Music Video Fix
Warchild is not the best Jethro Tull album.
It has a few good songs but no real stand out great hits.
Warchild holds a place in my heart.
Being 16, wandering around behind the theatre at Bosco listening to a tape recording from a cd on my walkman.
Pacing back and forth trying to get over the stage fright before going out to perform in an awful hispanic retelling of It's a Wonderful Life. Wishing I was a better performer but knowing I may never be one.
God was that nearly 15 years ago... seems like another life.

Hand Turkeys
When I worked at Knott's I'd have to work Thanksgiving.
My first year Lizzy and I made hand turkeys.
Then we did it again the next year.
My last year she had moved on and I was getting ready to but I still made a hand turkey.

Cheech and Chong
Did they sell out?
Or buy in?
But as Krusty once said, "They drove a dumptruck full of money up to my house."
Thanksgiving
Should have paid attention last week because then I'd have this ready on thursday.
As it is this might have to wait until x-mas.

Guernica
After 9/11 a friend couldn't stand her copy of Guernica any more.
Her and I having just seen Picasso at the Lapin Agile and spending a bit talking about it gave the poster to me.
I have carried it across several states and it currently resides in my bed room.
Of all the pepper spraying cop parodies I like this one the best.
Although the original I wonder about.
Was it malice or something else?
I don't know since I wasn't in his mind but I hope he doesn't end up like General Nguyễn Ngọc Loan

Resume Writing
When I'm in between jobs I often apply for random jobs.
Going to interviews became a near hobby.
Odd thing: I was hardly offered a job.

3D Display
Resolution may not be very high but being able to recreate the parts of scifi movies that use 3d vector images will be what I'd use this for.

Jazz Fight
I didn't see Home Movies on UPN.
Caught it much later on Adult Swim and really dug it.
Someday I'll have a Jazz Fight... Daddy-o

4 Fried Chickens
We got two honkies out there, dressed like Hasidic diamond merchants.
If this were for sale I'd buy it.
There is a bunch of other amazing pieces on this blog.

Herding Cats
Most Stage Managers I know will equate gather actors to herding cats.
This is for them.
Super Market Sweep
My sister and I dreamt of being on this show.
We would go around Lucky's or Alpha Beta pretending to be contestants.
It was a different time in the early 90s
1962
I love the Seattle Monorail.
A friend accuses me of loving it because I get to ride for free.
Probably true but I also end up hanging out at the Center a fair bit too.
Wish I had seen it in it's heyday and not now as an odd green space... and why was the crappy carnival of the Fun Forest replaced with a glass museum, horrible choice!

Good Old Days
This is part of a list about the world used to be cooler.
I like the notion of two young roller girls telling me not to be a scab.
If I was part of derby I'd recreate something like this.
The Rest
You're out of your element
My dad used to stand in the doorway and watch Animaniacs, Tiny Toons, Tazmania and other cartoons. One day I didn't turn on the tv because I had a bunch of homework and I remember him saying, 'Isn't it time for Animaniacs?' it was then I realized he enjoyed those shows as much as me.
I've seen a few episodes of My Little Pony and it's amusing. But it's the sort of show I'd stand in the doorway and watch. Not admit I like but if it happens to be on I'll check it out.
I learned that from my Dad.

Propaganda
I like google+
Down side is not a lot of folks I know use it regularly.
Including me.
Too bad but maybe I should.

New Mexico
I grew up in California.
Went to college in New Mexico.
Now I live in Washington.
In college I found an old sticker that said, "Don't Californicate New Mexico!"
I saw a similar one on a lamp post in Ballard some years ago.
But I didn't really fit into in California and fit in better in New Mexico and Washington.
Proud to be a New Mexican

Reading Rainbow
Back in the 90s SNL did a skit that was a what if Jim Morrison started a band in Heaven called the Great Frog Society. It ended with a young blonde girl singing The End.
Classic.
Christmas Photos
Mental Floss knows how to make a saturday with this set of 11 Geeky Family portraits.
My family was hardly nerdy enough to do this.
In fact we didn't even send out Christmas cards.
Every couple years me and my siblings would take a picture to give to the family because it was a good gift but we took them seriously.
Too bad I know we could have done something rather geeky.

Zelda
I remember being in first grade and Zelda being all the rage.
Perhaps not everywhere but I recall Ryan Quill getting that golden cart and it being far more interesting than anything before hand.
In college there was a weekend of playing Ocarina of Time in a near condemned trailer while drinking blue label vodka and store generic fruit punch.
After that I had strange arguments about Wind Waker back stage at the Charles M. Shulz Theatre.
It stuck with me.
And this was filmed miles from where I lived and where I once slide down a hill getting quite muddy while on a date.
Odd ties.

Welcome to the Future
There's an episode of Star Trek TNG where Scotty returns and is offered a synthahol drink which he pooh poohs then Data offers him a drink that is... green. Then he gets hammered, demands the computer show him the 1960s Enterprise and him and Picard share a drink.
Good times Mr. Scott.
Welcome to the future predicted by Roddenberry. All the flavor of whiskey but now of the fun.
This is like a faux Mullet. Business in the front annnnnd Business in the back.
This article brings up a very good point:
And as much as I love whiskey, it’s a rare breed that wants to drink an entire 355ml can in one sitting. That’s half a fifth, or around eight shots, in case you’re curious. Also, their marketing slogan is “Don’t drink and drive, unless it’s ArKay.” Seriously.I suppose putting "Once you pop; you can't stop" might have been a bit much.

Finger Painting
Not really but Oddee has a few more that are as good and better.
Like Batman.
Although lately it feels like the internet feels everything is better with Batman
5 Insane Ways Fear of Masturbation Changed the World
That's one interesting merit badge... how do you earn it? |
Cracked.com did this list today. Rather good.
I remember being a child and watching The Road to Wellville on show time and not really getting it but seeing it later and going, 'Dammit Victorian's you are crazy!' Few months ago a theatre did In the Other Room: The Vibrator Play and had a lobby display of antique vibrators and it was quite a sight.
Older patrons looking at the vibrators and I wonder if some had seen those around the house.
Shared this with a friend and she said, 'Masturbation is tits' but I remember Doc Hammer and Jackson Publick saying it was hard to make jokes about masturbation because their audience hadn't gotten to the point where it's funny.

Canadian Siblings
I used to live in Ballard which is a part of Seattle that was once very Scandinavian.
There's a few remaining patches but many are dying off.
A shame but times do change.
Scandinavia and the World is a comic that's taught me a bit about Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Iceland. Now much may not be that true but it's funny.
Science Fiction Double Feature
I like Rocky Horror.
Seen it at a theatre a few times and want to work a version of it some day.
With luck it'll be a decent version and I can be a spot or some kind of deck hand.
Neil Gaiman's solo is great.

Best verse: Drinking Crazy Horse malt liquor in the parking lot of Disneyland/ it's a three hour porn compilation shot only on a handycam (move your hair look at me) / it's the lonesome whistle of diesel in the distance on a derailing Amtrak train/ and a five cent deposit on every single fucking can and bottle you buy in Maine.

One note spelled, "L-I-T-E"
Because of a prank I was a main contributor of my sister's fear of the dark which lasted a decade longer than made sense.
I've found her x-mas gift.
I hope she likes it.

Doctor Who 500 Miles
I used to do a thing called 'Tech's on Ice'.
Not like this but the skaters dug what we did.
